SAJE Senior Ministry Volunteers and Participants,
It has been decided, based on public health concerns related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), directives from the St. Louis County Department of Public Health, and information from the CDC that SAJE Senior Ministry will be suspending all services, events and regular activities effective Monday, March 16, 2020. This includes all SAJE activities at St. Elizabeth of Hungary, Episcopal Church of the Advent, St Justin Martyr, St. Thomas/Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, and Concord Trinity United Methodist. There will also be no transportation or in-person services of our Faith Community Nurse, although she will be available for telephone consultations.

These low impact workouts combine music and Latin inspired dance moves. Held at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church, 5275 So. Lindbergh 63126(across from the New Fitz’s Root Beer, on Lindbergh next to Ronnies), every Tuesday at 11:30 and held at St. Elizabeth’s gym, 1414 South Sappington Road 63126, every Friday at 10:30 AM.

Chair Yoga
There will be NO downward dog, and absolutely NO tying your appendages into a pretzel. This class is truly relaxing and energizing! Held at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church, 5275 So. Cards and Games
Every Thursday, after chair exercises at Advent, 9373 Garber Road 63126, about 10:15 AM, a group gathers in Cafe SAJE for card games, dominoes and other games. On the second Thursday of each month, they gather after Lunch and Learn (about 1:00 PM). All are welcome. Cost is a FREE, Donations are accepted, but not expected. Quilting Bee
Quilters of all abilities are invited to join this friendly group of women – no one’s stitches will be removed. Don’t worry if you can’t see to quilt in a straight line, it adds character to the quilt. Every Monday, 9373 Garber Road 63126, 11:00 AM. All are welcome. St Louis County Public Library Book Mobile #4
The St Louis County Public Library Book Mobile #4 comes to Church of the Advent, Episcopal Church 9373 Garber Road 63126 from 10:15 AM-11:00 AM every other week. You can check out books from the selection of rolling shelves that are there, you can return a book, cassette, CD, magazine, or DVD that you borrowed from any of the bookmobiles or any of the libraries. You can pick up books that you have reserved via the St Louis County Public Library web site. And, If you don’t have a library card, you can attain one through Book Mobile #4 as well!!!!! Sharity Charity
Charity Sharity has been called the most unique “green” organization in the country, keeping 15-20 tons of supplies out of the landfill every year! They collect fabric, yarn, and some craft supplies from people who no longer want them and give them free of charge to individuals and groups who use the goods in the service of others. Almost 300 individuals, volunteer groups and sewing circles receive fabric and other supplies from us for the benefit of the military, schools, hospitals, shelters, and others who deserve care, comfort, and even life-saving efforts. You will be amazed at the scope and huge volume of work and you will come away inspired by all of the good being done! This is followed by a homemade soup and salad lunch and yummy homemade desserts at noon.

SAJE IS 10 YEARS OLD, the very first Lunch & Learn was held on Thursday, April 15, 2010 and here we are 10 years later and over 120 Lunch & Learns later still going strong. Please join us for a celebration of SAJE!!!! We will walk through the SAJE timeline and have our AMAZING volunteers here to share their SAJE story with us. When the celebration is complete, please join us for a celebratory meal followed by cards and Mexican Train Dominoes

SAJE Mini Day Trips
A SAJE organized Mini Day Trip around St Louis City and St Louis County. For the most part these will take place the 3rd Wednesday of the month, be sure to verify dates, as some activities and events can only happen on certain days, and be of minimal cost. Please be sure to RSVP, as some events require the purchase of tickets. All Mini Day trips will meet at St Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church prior to departing.
